Who we are:

Arise Church is a multi-generational, family-oriented church that conducts services in Cantonese and English. Established around 10 years ago, our English ministry currently comprises approximately 40 individuals. The vision of Arise is to cultivate a Spiritual, Missional, Authentic, Transforming community in Christ through love.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time English ministry pastor with a vision to build a flourishing,

cross-cultural congregation of English speakers. This pastor will work in partnership with our

Cantonese and Youth ministry with the goals of facilitating growth, fostering unity, and providing spiritual guidance and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shepherd the English congregation and provide pastoral care
• Guide English ministry in establishing and communicating vision, direction, and ministry strategies
• Equip the church in fulfilling the Great Commission through teaching, preaching, and discipleship
• Oversee and provide spiritual guidance to all English ministry teams and connect groups
• Implement strategies to reach out to local communities; fostering connections and sharing the Gospel
• Collaborate with church pastoral team and participate in pastoral and staff planning meetings
• Work alongside church-wide staff and lay leaders on church operations

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A clear calling from God to pastoral ministry
• A strong personal faith in Jesus Christ demonstrated through an authentic spiritual life and commitment to prayer
• A heart to honor God above all and to lead people into deeper worship and understanding of Him
• Familiarity and agreement with EFCA (Evangelical Free Church of America) statement of faith and core values
• Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a seminary or Bible college with pastoral experience in North America
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to engage with culturally diverse congregations, with experience in nurturing Asian‑American communities
